cisco设备IOS升级是很简单的，就只要搭个ftp或tftp服务器，然后在cisco设备上使用
copy tftp：(或ftp：)flash：(高端设备一般为sup-bootdisk：)
就可以了。并且高端设备升级失败后，即使你删除了原有的IOS，也只需要弄一张flash卡，将IOS直接拷至flash卡，然后插至引擎上带的 flash卡插槽，再设置一下IOS文件位置就可以了。
但低端设备没有配置flash插槽，此时怎么办呢?可能大家已经想到使用xmodem方式将IOS 文件拷到设备的flash里。当然，这也是唯一的途径。但xomdem通过串口线传输，速率为9600bps，速度非常慢，怎么办呢?
如果是路由器，那这个好办，可通过confreg命令修改串口速率来解决，以下是通过confreg命令修改串口速率的简单介绍：
rommon 1 > confreg 回车

然后就可使用以下命令通过xmodem方式升级IOS：
rommon 2 > xmodem -c c2600-i-mz.122-11.bin
但cisco低端交换机的romm模式里(cisco低端交换机的romm模式的提示符为switch：)没有confreg命令，怎么办呢?没有这条命令并不代表它不能修改串口速率，使用以下命令就可以了：(注意大小写)
switch：set BAUD 115200
switch：reset(重启)
这个是改了，但低端交换机的romm模式里输入help命令，也看不到xmodem命令。和上面一样，要使用其它命令，命令如下：
switch：copy xmodem： flash：c3750-advipservicesk9-mz.122-40.SE.bin
然后使用超级终端发送文件就可以了，本人测试了一下，使用此方法copy一个大约7M的IOS文件只需20分钟左右。copy完成后重启交换机即可。
但使用此方法修改的串口速率使用以下命令不能修改成功：
line con 0
speed 9600
必须再进一次romm模式，使用unset BAUD命令将串口速率改为缺省值。否则使用CRT或是超级终端时使用9600的速率将看不到cisco交换机的输出信息。
